About Sketchy Prints
About Me
Hi, I’m Uriah Da Costa, the person behind this little 3D-printing journey.
I’m an 18-year-old Goan kid who moved to Ireland to pursue my studies, carrying with me a lot of dreams, a love for creating, and a desire to build something of my own.
This whole journey started with something very simple: a small Bambu Lab A1 mini 3D printer that I bought with my own money. It might just be a small printer, but to me, it represents something much bigger — the beginning of something that I hope I can build into a future of my own.
I’ve always loved art, designing things, building things and bringing ideas to life. I love the feeling of having an idea in my head, turning it into a 3D model, pressing that first print button and eventually seeing that idea become something I can actually hold in my hands.
3D printing gave me a way to combine all of those interests.
What started as a hobby slowly became something I wanted to take more seriously. I started learning about 3D modelling, designing my own creations, experimenting with different prints and figuring out what works — and, just as importantly, what doesn't.
I’ll be completely honest — I’m still learning.
I’m not a professional designer. I’m not an expert in 3D printing. There’s still an incredible amount that I don’t know, and I definitely make mistakes along the way. But I don't see that as something to hide.
I actually enjoy the learning process.
Every failed print teaches me something. Every new design gives me another skill to learn. Every project pushes me to become a little better than I was yesterday.
I come from a humble home. I’m not rich, and I don’t have a huge business or a team behind me. I’m just a normal kid with a small printer, a lot of ideas, and some pretty big dreams.
One of those dreams is to build something successful enough to make my parents proud — and one day, hopefully, successful enough to give them the life they deserve and let them retire without having to worry about money.
That goal means a lot to me.
For now, I’m taking things one print at a time.
I want this little business to grow alongside me. I want to keep learning, improve my designs, experiment with new ideas and eventually create things that people genuinely love having in their homes, cars, garages and lives.
I also want to make this a place where custom ideas are welcome. If you have something you've imagined but can't find anywhere else, I'd love to hear about it. Maybe it's a small accessory, a gift, a replacement part, something completely random, or simply an idea you've had sitting in your head for years.
Even if I don't know how to make it yet, I'll do my best to figure it out.
Every order helps me learn. Every design helps me grow. Every customer supports a dream that I’m trying to build from the ground up. And every bit of support means more to me than you probably realise.
I’m an artist slowly making my way through life, figuring things out as I go, learning from my mistakes, celebrating the little wins and trying to turn something I genuinely love into something meaningful.
I don't know exactly where this journey will take me.
But I know I want to enjoy the journey, keep creating, and see just how far I can take it.
So if you decide to support my little business, thank you.
Thank you for giving my work a chance. Thank you for supporting a small creator. And thank you for being part of something that's still at the very beginning.
You’re not just buying a 3D print.
You’re helping an 18-year-old kid chase a dream.
And hopefully, one day, I’ll be able to look back at this little Bambu Lab A1 mini and remember that this is where it all started.
